Valentines Day will arrive before you know it, so it’s time once again to think about making the Valentines Day craft projects I create every year. I love this time because each year allows me another opportunity to get creative. It also means I have to find new Valentines Day craft ideas. But that’s fun, so I’m happy to do it.

Sometimes my process is to search for free valentine clip art that can be used as the inspiration for the craft. Since this will be for Valentines Day, I will restrict my searches to hearts, flowers or other iconic Valentine’s Day images. That should be simple, because Valentines Day clip art is all over the place during this season.

It’s been my past experience that free vintage valentine cards found on the Internet provide fantastic inspiration for Valentines Day craft projects. Given that the cards already have fantastic designs, a fun craft project can be created pretty easily. Another great idea for creating Valentines Day crafts is to use vintage flowers scrapbooking paper. Online scrapbook supplies include diverse paper designs and all manner of scrapbook embellishments, paper photo frames, borders and many other fun elements. There are even three dimensional stickers that have recently become very popular. In the end I’m sure you’ll find that scrapbooking supplies — whether digital or bought in a store — can add a spark of color to a Valentines Day project.

So as you plan to make valentine crafts this year, remember to go online. Keep it simple and let the art you choose shine through. That will help you produce professional looking results and make the creation process go easier and faster. Oohs and aahs from family and friends will probably result.
